A Sturt Highway speeding driver has been clocked well over the speed limit.
On Friday, Murray Mallee Highway Patrol officers detected the 20-year-old man from Mawson Lakes travelling at 173 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.
He was issued with an instant six-month instant loss of licence, as well handed an on the spot fine of $1997.

Also in Police news a man from Loveday will now face court after caught driving while disqualified in Glossop.
The 51-year-old man was stopped after Police allege he was travelling 115 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
As well as the day in court, his car was also impounded for 28 days.
