Murray Mallee Police have urged the community to be vigilant for text message scams.
This week Police received reports of messages that asked residents to pay fines via a link provided in the message, which had the appearance it was from SA Police.
Police say no government organisation will ever request personal details or payment of fines/debt via text message and by clicking on a link.
