An upgraded design of Cobdogla’s Bruno Bay Boat ramp will now be developed.

Through an agreement between the Berri Barmera Council and the Department for Environment and Water (DEW), a future design is set to accommodate greater River Murray flows and still be accessible.

Currently, the site becomes inundated when flows are around 50 to 60 GL, with a future design possibly allowing up to an 80GL flow.

The works fall under the The South Australia Constraints Measures project, which aims to remove barriers to the delivery of River Murray environmental water.

Details of public consultation sessions are expected to surface soon, with the agreement endorsed at last weeks meeting of elected members.
