Police search uncovers cannabis and firearms

Riverland Police have made arrests, following the discovery of drugs and weapons during a local search.

Loxton Police attended the Murray Mallee property on Tuesday, were its alleged officers located two insecure firearms, ammunition, fireworks and cannabis.

It’s further alleged Police located a hydroponic set up that was not in use, along with 18 large mature cannabis plants and a quantity of dried cannabis.

As a result, a 51-year-old Paringa man and a 39-year-old Murray Mallee woman were both arrested and charged with several drug and weapon offences.  

They were refused Police bail.
