Another candidate has emerged for the seat of Barker at the upcoming federal election.
This week Pauline Hanson’s One Nation announced Renmark Woman, Jenny Troeth would be their local candidate, which followed the previous candidate Cody Scholes stepping away from the party.
He’s now set to run as an independent, while newly announced candidate Mrs Troeth in recent times has been known for work advocating for the interests of Houseboat owners through the Renmark Paringa Houseboat Collective.
Mrs Troeth, who said the group remains active due to the “strong opposition” within the community to the Jane Eliza plan, said her campaign would feature “plenty of listening” and a focus on principles.
There’s currently six known contenders for the seat of Barker, with the final list expected to be known at the end of this week.
