Holly Ranson – Ultra Marathon

Holly Ranson

A veteran of long-distance running, Holly has come away with several outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

She competed in the 12-hour time-based ultra-marathon at Glenelg in December, in which competitors aim to run as far as they can.  Holly ran a total of 136.6 kilometers, smashing the previous record of 133.5.

In January, she also became one of 4 people, and the first Australian woman, to complete 24 park runs in 24 hours. It meant she completed a full 120 kilometers by starting at the Mawson Lakes Parkrun course, then trekking around Adelaide to other courses, ending at Largs Bay.

As a dietician and with psychology qualifications, Holly understands the strong connection between the mind and the body, always encouraging Riverland locals to stay active.
