Breast Cancer Awareness Round – Miss Annabelle’s Kombi Tour

This is an extra special pink round for Loxton, as we have Shiralee & Miss Annabelle’s Kombi visiting.
In May last year, Shiralee’s life changed with a diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer. Supported by her loved ones and her McGrath Foundation Breast Care Nurse, Annie, she’s facing this journey with positivity and resilience.
Now, Shiralee, her family, and some friends are embarking on Miss Annabelle’s Kombi Tour to raise awareness and funds for the McGrath Foundation. They’ll be traveling from Mt Barker, SA, to Sydney, NSW, in Miss Annabelle—a lovingly restored pink and white 1974 VW Kombi.
Their first stop is in Loxton for a Pink Stumps Cricket Match between Loxton and Berri on Saturday, November 16th at Loxton Oval, starting from 4:30 pm.
Rotary will be cooking up a BBQ, and the bar will be open for drink purchases throughout the afternoon/evening.
Come along to support the McGrath Foundation! Wear pink and bring your family and friends for an afternoon of cricket, food, drinks, and community spirit as we raise funds and awareness together.
💗🏏 We would love to see all past & present players, life members, coaches, captains, families, volunteers & spectators to come on down to the oval to support this amazing cause.
There are many families within our club that have been affected by Breast Cancer, with it being the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian women.
We are so fortunate to have been asked to participate in Miss Annabelle’s Kombi Tour and we wish Shiralee all the best during this time.
We will be raising funds on the day, but you can also donate here 👇🏼
