Stronger ties and greater collaboration are now the cards between a local council and a leading university
Recently, The Berri Barmera Council announced they had entered a memorandum of understanding with Flinders University.
Council say while Flinders already has a significant local presence, the MOU will help to explore mutual opportunities to enhance or expand education offerings in the region.
Flinders University Pro Vice-Chancellor (Curriculum Impact) Professor Chris Brebner said the MoU sets out a path for future collaboration providing richer education and workforce opportunities supporting local industry.
“The MoU will provide opportunities for expanded education offerings at Flinders and develop the local workforce through strong collaboration with the council, including the co-design of our programs in the region,” she said
