DSC 9504 X3
The Lake Bonney Yacht Club saw its 71st Easter Regatta over the long weekend. Friday brought one race for all 4 divisions plus a second for the Misc. Mono division. Winds were light and variable but everyone completed the course.

Unfortunately Saturdays’ conditions weren’t as favourable and after an attempted start racing was abandoned. Sunday, despite having not looked good on the forecast, improved considerably and turned it on with 8-12 knots average.Four races were completed in two sessions which provided a good series.

The Mirror class of yachts from Henley Yacht Club entered 8 yachts with crews mostly comprising of an adult yachtsperson with one child sailor.

The next programmed race for Saturday 22nd April, will be a Stern chaser. Following that there will be one more race before the end of the 2016-2017 season, the Anzac Day Trophy race on Saturday 29th April.
