Lotto win takes Tas grandmother overseas

A Launceston grandmother is $2.6 million richer after discovering she shared in a division-one TattsLotto draw, which she plans to spend on an overseas holiday.

The Tasmanian woman, who asked to remain anonymous, saw a news item calling for an outstanding winner from Saturday's $21 million draw to come forward so she checked her numbers and confirmed the prize on Tuesday.

"I've been wanting to go to Europe so I'll go now but I'll be able to go a better class than I otherwise would have done. Lots of extra trimmings," she said.
