Man charged over Sydney stabbing

A man has been charged after he allegedly stabbed another man in the face and neck on Sydney's Lower North Shore.

Police were called to a Lane Cove address just after 11.30pm on Saturday to find a 35-year-old man with lacerations to his face and neck.

He was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

A 28-year-old Lane Cove man was arrested at the scene and taken to Chatswood Police Station where he was charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Police have been told the two men knew each other.

The man was refused bail and will appear at Hornsby Local Court on Monday.
